But surely, if we're going to get really really technical, any increase in the drag co-efficiency would possibly be out weighed by the more energy efficient riding position adopted. Also the lack of use in the upper body muscles might also allow for a higher sustained energy output.

But if we're going to get really technical...then surely there'd be more frictional drag (rolling resistance) considering all his weight is on that back tyre...unless he pumped it up really hard?!

I suppose that technically it should be easier doing a wheelie up a hill as there is less resistance in the form of rotational weight...
